100 Years of Southport Flower Show
This year, the fantastic Southport Flower Show are celebrating their 100th anniversary of the show. 2024’s special event will be taking place between the 15th and 18th of August. Since the show started in 1924, it has grown into the most wonderful and exciting event for all to enjoy.
From show gardens, to talks, to floral exhibits, you’re sure to find something you’ll absolutely love this year. Why not spend some time shopping from over 350 different trade visitors? Or pay a visit to the Arena for some fascinating show jumping performances or dog displays? It really is a show for everyone.
I love to spend some time in the Grand Floral Marquee at Southport. I particularly enjoy the huge variety of plants from shrubs to succulents, trees to flowers, and many more. Also, the Marquee is filled with experts to give you their invaluable gardening advice. Plus, it’s a great way to take some inspiration for plants to include in your own gardens at home.
I am proud to be giving talks at Southport Flower Show this year on Saturday the 17th of August. You will find me discussing the benefits that plants have on our mental and physical wellbeing. I’ll be at the Garden Theatre, where many other expert talks will take place over the entire weekend to enjoy.
Make sure to book your tickets now to make sure you don’t miss out. And remember, under-16s can attend for free when with a full-paying adult, so make sure to bring them along to learn about the power of plants.
I hope to see you there.
