Writtle College
Garden Name: Moggy’s Garden
Our garden is based on the rejuvenation of the neglected ruins of a Victorian pub. We used materials from bygone years to create a quirky environment. This includes recycling the old bar as the garden entrance, making raised beds from the old floor boards and creating a water feature coming out of a piano.
We turned the old kitchen area into a potting shed with a roof made of recycled remnants and the vegetable garden is surrounded by shrubs and ferns. The space is arranged for wildlife and the range of materials and crafted features make it interesting and exciting.
